MT Dance / Ballet I (Grades 3-5)

For upper elementary students who have had some basic dance training and are looking to take their skills to the next level! This class is divided into two 30 minute sessions of ballet and musical theater dance. Students will work on the basic principles and foundations of classical ballet technique while strengthening the body and learning proper alignment. A strong ballet foundation is crucial to any student wishing to pursue a career in Musical Theatre! They will also gain exposure to diverse musical theatre dance styles. Ballet and jazz shoes are required for this course. 

Ages: Grades 3-5

Required Materials: Ballet & jazz shoes, form fitting athletic wear            

Prerequisite: 1-2 years of basic dance training or with faculty approval
