25th Annual
Putnam County Spelling Bee
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
WHAT
A workshop production of The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee with music by William Finn. We will have scaled back production elements so the focus will be on the actors and their storytelling! Directed by Brenna Donahue. Please note that this show contains mature humor and perusal scripts are available upon request for parents.
WHO
Actors in grades 6-12 are eligible. 5th graders may also register on a case to case basis- please email natalie@blackrocktheater.org if you have a 5th grader who is interested. You do not need to be a current BRT student to register. All students will be cast in this production.
WHERE
Rehearsals will take place at the BRT’s rehearsal studio and tech and shows will take place at FTC’s StageOne.
WHEN
Rehearsals begin March 21st and we will have two performances on April 30th. A complete rehearsal schedule is included below.
AUDITION INFORMATION
Auditions will take place on the first day of rehearsal. Please prepare one of the audition cuts linked below. We may ask for additional singing and cold reads, so please be familiar with the script and score including I Love You Song.

PARTICIPATION FEE
There is a $415 participation fee which is due upon registration.
