Musical Theater 2

Step into the spotlight with Musical Theater 2 at Black Rock Theater! Designed for grades 3-5, this dynamic 12-week semester is a journey through the world of musicals. Each unit focuses on one iconic show, where budding performers explore acting, singing, and choreography. From mastering group scenes to perfecting production numbers and audition cuts, students hone their skills under expert guidance. At the culmination of each unit, proud parents get a front-row seat with filmed performances that showcase the talent and hard work of our students!

This class will be held at The Loft at Fairfield Theatre Company with an entrance on Unquowa Road.

Class Dates: 1/21, 1/28, 2/4, 2/11, 2/18, 3/4, 3/11, 3/18, 3/15, 4/1, 4/8, 4/22

Recommended Class Pairings: It is strongly recommended that students in Musical Theater 2 take MT Dance/ Ballet 2. While this class involves choreography, MT Dance/ Ballet 2 explores technique that is crucial for young performers.  Other recommendations include Acting 2, Rising Stars Workshop 2, Tap 2 and private voice lessons. 

Required materials: Comfortable clothes and shoes for movement, binder, pencil, highlighter. 

Prerequisite: No experience necessary! Basic experience welcomed.
